Acupuncture for the Cancer Patient

Here at Acupuncture Works we have received special training from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centers of Manhattan to safely care for cancer patients experiencing treatment symptoms and side effects. We learned how cancer is detected, treated, and managed, and received specifics on the management of lymphoma and leukemia as well as cancer of the breast, colon and rectum, lung, prostate, and other parts of the body. The course explained current research into using acupuncture as a pain- and symptom-management method and  how acupuncturists can work in the hospital setting and which needling techniques are optimal.
